Dear Friends,

I hope you and your families are doing well!

Recently, my daughters, ages 12 and 14, have developed a love for hot yoga. What made me smile most was hearing one of them say that her favourite part was Savasana — those final moments of lying still, relaxing, and simply being. It reminded me how much our girls need opportunities to slow down, breathe, and take a break from the busyness of everyday life. As a mom of three girls, this is something very close to my heart. Over the past seven years, meditation and mindfulness have become an important part of my life, deepening my understanding of compassion, presence, inner peace and our connection to nature. I have always been a lover of the natural world, and its ability to ground us. I believe that slowing down and reconnecting with the natural world reminds us of the beauty in simplicity. Neuroscience is finally validating through research on the many wellness benefits of mindfulness, something ancient wisdom always knew.

Along this journey, I have completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, trained with the Canadian Mind Institute in teaching mindfulness to children, participated in training with Victoria Lynne in youth mindfulness and yoga, and attended various retreats to continue learning and growing. I feel called to share these practices with our community and would love to offer a complimentary Mother & Daughter Mindfulness & Partner Yoga session with the theme:

🌿 Deep Rooted Connection

My intention is to create a safe, welcoming, non-competitive space where girls can relax, have fun, connect with their moms and peers, and feel comfortable being truly themselves — without pressure or judgment.

🗓️ Mother & Daughter Session

🌙 Evening (relaxing practice): Friday, November 13, 7:30–8:30 p.m.

🌞 Morning (energizing practice): Sunday, November 15, 9:00–10:00 a.m.

If there is interest following our first gathering, we can explore meeting weekly or biweekly for just the girls, with future sessions shaped around topics that matter to them.

This offering comes from a genuine place of wanting to give back and share practices that have been deeply meaningful in my own life. I hope we can create something beautiful together — a space for our girls to pause, breathe, grow, and build connections that support their well-being now and in the years ahead.

If this resonates with you and you feel your daughter might enjoy participating, please let me know which session you would prefer and whether you have a yoga mat.

I’m also sharing this short video, which touches on the experiences many middle school students face:

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I look forward to the possibility of sharing this experience with you and your daughters!

With warmth and gratitude,

P.S. I am delighted to be working on developing some pop-up classes with a local studio; stay tuned.
